I’m Travis Rothstein, and my current role with FindLaw is the fulfillment of an entire life spent in marketing.
I started my first marketing endeavor when I was in elementary school and sold Kool-Aid to other kids on the bus. Since then, I’ve professionalized a bit. I’ve earned degrees in marketing and advertising and public relations. I’ve also started and sold three businesses since my school-bus days, so I can relate to lawyers at medium and large firms. Running your own shop is rewarding, but it isn’t easy.
What I like about working with FindLaw is that I don’t need to worry whether the products I’m working with will deliver. I know they will. I’ve found that service and meaningful relationships are things you can build a career on, and I wouldn’t risk those things for a company I was not 100 percent confident in.
My clients will tell you that I am always looking past the transaction at hand and thinking about what it will mean for the future. Too many people make the mistake of not looking past today, and that doesn’t help anyone in the long run.
