Western Missouri has a diverse mixture of urban, suburban, and rural markets. Kansas City is one of the larger metro areas in the country, and there are a lot of attorneys here who spend significant amounts of money on legal advertising. Prior to working for Thomson Reuters, my experience includes direct sales, finance director, police officer, investigator, trial paralegal and legal marketing/business consulting. I have worked hand in hand with attorneys across the state of Missouri for seven years and I love what I do. My experience has allowed me to second/third chair dozens of jury trials from start to finish, giving me a true knowledge of the in and out of your day practicing law. I have drafted motions, attended depositions, done evidence views, been present for pre-trial conferences, and have been asked to help trial prep for some of Missouri’s top litigators. I have run the marketing or been involved in the marketing for campaigns for State Prosecutor, Associate Circuit Judge, Circuit Judge and supported candidates for Judicial Commissions. Ethics in marketing and maintaining my clients and their firm’s reputation is my number one priority. I not only have every legal marketing ethics rule memorized, I constantly stay abreast to formal opinions and nonbinding informal advisory opinions by the Missouri Supreme Court Advisory Committee & Legal Ethics Counsel.
As a paralegal I ran the marketing for the firm I worked for five years, helping grow the firm from a solo practice to three lawyers and a full staff. I brought in hundreds of thousands of dollars in referrals during my time there and continue to be a resource to my large network as a connector for legal consumers to find the right attorney for them and for their case. I truly understand how legal consumers think and what they are looking for when seeking representation. I use all of my experience to give honest, straight-forward advice when helping my clients reach their firms goals.
