Every year, Super Lawyers uses its patented selection process to bring attention to the attorneys who deserve it the most. Both employers and potential clients turn to the Super Lawyers lists to find the best attorneys in the business. Now that 2013 is coming to a close, the time has come to announce the best of the best with the Super Lawyers Top Lists.
So what are Top Lists? The attorneys who make the Top Lists are the cream of the Super Lawyers crop. They have not only been selected to their state’s Super Lawyers list, they’ve also received the highest point totals during the selection process.
Super Lawyers creates its lists using a patented multiphase selection process. Candidates are first evaluated by the Super Lawyers research department, before being assessed by peers in their practice area.
“Super Lawyers is proud to provide visibility to outstanding attorneys,” said Julie Gleason, Director of Research for Super Lawyers. “The Top Lists take that step to the next level by highlighting those attorneys who demonstrate a truly exceptional level of accomplishment.”
The attorneys on the Top Lists are selected on a state-by-state basis and span a wide range of practice areas. Here are just a few of this year’s Top List attorneys:
- Carter G. Phillips (Top 10, Washington, D.C.), whose 76 arguments before the United States Supreme Court are the most of any attorney currently in private practice.
- Ted Wells (Top 10, New York Metro), dubbed the “go-to guy” for defense in high-profile white-collar criminal cases and complex civil litigation.
- Charla G. Aldous (Top 50 Women, Texas and Top 10, Texas), the personal injury attorney whose verdicts and settlements from 2000-2005 garnered more than $675 million.
If you’ve been included in a Top List, there are a few easy ways to promote the achievement. The Super Lawyers Promotional Kit provides templates to use on your blog, website, or social media accounts.
