Welcome to another post from our “Meet the FindLaw Team” series. “Meet the FindLaw Team” provides insight into the day-to-day lives of our colleagues. Today we feature Super Lawyers Marketer Ashley Armstrong. Get to know Ashley by reading about her experiences at FindLaw below.

What is your current title?
I am a Marketer for Super Lawyers, which is part of FindLaw.

When did you join the Super Lawyers team and how did you get here?
I joined Super Lawyers in October 2011. Previously, I worked at a non-profit organization called Scientific Societies as a publications marketing manager. I was able to build many skills in this position, from product marketing and eStore management, to event planning and designing collateral. After four years at the organization, I was ready for a new adventure where I could focus on growing my career in marketing. Coming from a small company where I was able to dabble in a little bit of everything proved to be a great asset for the Super Lawyers team.

What interests you most about marketing to lawyers or your functional area?
Being the second member hired to the new Super Lawyers marketing team, I have had a unique opportunity to help train and lead our team as well as work on many new initiatives. I am very much a people person, and I have the opportunity in my position to work on a variety of projects, which allows me to work with many different departments.

What activities does your work day typically involve?
On my team, I handle a lot of the project management. Some of the marketing plans I create and manage are for new product launches, entering new markets (i.e., London) and redesigning collateral. I am also involved with all marketing mailings and emails. On any given day, you will find me working with cross-functional teams across Super Lawyers to plan, create and implement a marketing project. To do this, I work closely with our designer to create marketing pieces, collaborate with the database and online operations teams to implement the project and finally, work with the operations team to review and deliver the mailing or email to our customers.

What are your interests outside of Super Lawyers?
Outside of Super Lawyers, I enjoy trying out new restaurants in the Twin Cities area as well as traveling with family and friends. I recently joined a yoga studio and have started the process of becoming a Big Sister, through the Big Brother Big Sister organization.
