Welcome to another post from our “Meet the FindLaw Team ” series. “Meet the FindLaw Team” provides insight into the day-to-day lives of our colleagues. Today we feature FindLaw Web Producer Elise Ferguson. Get to know Elise by reading about her experiences at FindLaw below.

What is your current title?
I am a Web Producer for the Solution Support team. I handle development requests for Titanium FirmSites; anything from developing new designs, to updating phone numbers on customer sites.

When did you join the FindLaw team and how did you get here?
I’ve been with FindLaw for six years now. I went to school for Chemical engineering at the University of Minnesota as well as for Unix System Administration. I worked doing computer programming and web development before I came to FindLaw.

What interests you most about lawyer marketing or your functional area?
I love that the Solution Support development team is able to provide clients with site updates, and I’m excited for our new direction and ability to provide both proactive updates as well as respond to client requests in a much shorter amount of time. Solution Support has the unique job of assisting clients on their existing sites. We can help support a customer’s business by analyzing their existing site and consulting with our fellow FindLaw subject matter experts as well as the client to help fulfill the customer’s business needs.

What activities does your work day typically involve?
A typical day includes slicing Photoshop files, writing HTML, quality checking site updates and finding cool new features (for example, jQuery features that function on multiple platforms rather than just Flash or updating sites to the latest and greatest CSS and HTML versions) to include in client’s site updates.

What are your interests outside of FindLaw?
Right now my interests outside of FindLaw are keeping my active 16-month-old out of trouble. When there’s a little time left, I teach therapeutic horseback riding for people living with disabilities.
