FindLaw is the leading online provider of legal information. This statement is not just opinion, it’s a fact. According to recently released data from comScore, the leading provider of digital media intelligence, once again in 2010, FindLaw maintained its number one spot — by a length.

As comScore reports, more than twice as many visitors came to FindLaw than to its nearest competitor, with an average of 2.2 million visits a month. But the important numbers don’t stop there. The comScore Media Metrix for 2010 also showed:

  • Fifty percent more people used FindLaw’s Lawyer Directory than the closest competitor’s attorney listings when searching for an attorney online.
  • Visitors viewed more than 7 million pages on By comparison, just 3 million pages were viewed on the nearest competitor’s site.

FindLaw is proud of what it has achieved over the past year. Steve Noel, vice president of portal and online marketing at FindLaw, elaborated, “It’s gratifying that comScore’s data proved yet again what we already know to be true: FindLaw is America’s most popular free online legal resource.”

However, the work won’t end with this success. Noel attributes the popularity of to a number of factors including credible, relevant, easy-to-access content in more than 30 practice areas; sophisticated search engine optimization expertise focused on connecting people with FindLaw when they’re searching online for legal information or for an attorney and an assertive marketing program designed to drive consumer awareness about FindLaw.
