Blog.LawyerMarketing.com Is Launched

Now there is a blog dedicated to legal marketing, client development, and technology for law firms. FindLaw recently launched its blog at Blog.LawyerMarketing.com.

The term “blog” is short for Weblog, an online journal or diary. As the name suggests, blogs are designed to present regular, chronological entries, providing an easy means to distribute content to the World Wide Web. Blogs bypass formal publishing barriers, which allows you to communicate expertise, express opinions, and effectively establish yourself as an informational point of reference.

If you’re interested in publishing a blog as part of your Web site, keep the following five tips in mind.

  1. Make it matter. Write about things you sincerely care about and that your readers will care about.
  2. Link it. Link to other information that gives your posting value.
  3. Show some personality. Leave out the legalese and business-speak and enjoy yourself.
  4. Watch your words. Remember that anyone may read your post and your words can build or damage your professional credibility.
  5. Update regularly! Add new information to your post on a regular basis and your audience will have a reason to return to your site.

The LawyerMarketing.com Web site for FindLaw recently launched its own blog on June 16, 2006, at Blog.LawyerMarketing.com. FindLaw clients and potential clients can now access the blog for tips and updates on what’s happening in Internet marketing today. You’ll find informative posts written by FindLaw employees on topics that affect you on a daily basis, including legal marketing, client development, and technology for law firms. Check us out today at Blog.LawyerMarketing.com.
