EXIT PAGES(Go to "Pages on the left side of the page)An Exit Page is defined as the last page a visitor views on a Web site. The Exit Pages statistic lists the top pages that visitors have used as an Exit Page and the number of times it was viewed as the Exit Page. Single Access pages are included in this measurement.
If the Exit Page is at the end of a logical path, such as a "contact us" form after a series of pages explaining a particular legal issue, then you can have some confidence that the site is working the way you want it to. If you have an objective of a path and visitors are not completing it, this may indicate confusion or frustration on the part of visitors as they go through the site. You need to take a close look and adjust your content and perhaps the site's navigation if the choice of Exit Page suggests visitor dissatisfaction. (Note: The visitors browser must accept cookies to be measured in this statistic.) |
